Treffer: The Role of Modern Technologies in Language Teaching and Learning: Toward Interactive Digital Multimodal Environments.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the role of modern technologies in language teaching and learning through the analysis of experiences reported by a sample of 150 individuals, representing 37.6% of a total population of 450. Methods: The study examined diverse educational tools, including video conferencing platforms, learning management systems (LMS), smart applications, and augmented/virtual reality technologies, data were collected primarily via individual interviews, providing comprehensive insights into participants’ experiences. Results: Results indicated that video conferencing platforms, particularly Zoom and Microsoft Teams, were the most frequently used (38.67%), followed by LMS platforms (16.67%). Listening skills were identified as the most positively impacted (34%), whereas insufficient technological infrastructure emerged as the primary challenge (42%). The findings underscore the necessity of enhancing digital infrastructure and offering professional training for educators to effectively adapt to digital transformation in language learning environments.
