Treffer: Maschinelle Erschließung von Forschungsdaten in Bibliotheken und Forschungsdatenzentren – Stand und Perspektiven.

This article examines the extent to which established machinebased techniques can usefully be applied to the content indexing of research data. It first considers the different cataloguing practices of the German National Library (DNB), the DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education and the Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library (TIB). This is followed by a report on tests in which research data from the DIPF and TIB were machineindexed using the methods deployed by the DNB. The evaluation of these tests demonstrates that it is fundamentally possible to apply machine indexing methods to research data. Der Beitrag untersucht, inwieweit etablierte maschinelle Verfahren bei der inhaltlichen Erschließung von Forschungsdaten sinnvoll zur Anwendung kommen können. Dabei wird zunächst ein Blick auf die unterschiedliche Erschließungspraxis der Deutschen Nationalbibliothek (DNB), des DIPF | Leibniz-Instituts für Bildungsforschung und Bildungsinformation und der LeibnizInformationszentrum Technik und Naturwissenschaften Universitätsbibliothek (TIB) geworfen. Daran schließt sich ein Bericht über Tests an, bei denen Forschungsdaten von DIPF und TIB mit den bei der DNB angewandten Methoden maschinell erschlossen wurden. Die Bewertung dieser Tests führt vor Augen, dass die Anwendung maschineller Erschließungsverfahren auf Forschungsdaten im Bereich des Möglichen liegt, aber mit noch größeren Schwierigkeiten als bei der Anwendung auf konventionelle Medienwerke verbunden ist.
