Treffer: Rule-based execution of management actions in Cloud-native environments.
Weitere Informationen
The Cloud-native paradigm enhances Twelve Factor patterns for current application design. It assumes leveraging Cloud Computing (CC) model. Cloud-native development aligns with DevOps concepts, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices, containerization, and microservice architecture. Due to the necessity of meeting so many requirements, Cloud-native paradigm poses significant engineering challenges. The following research was inspired by the Autonomic Management of Cloud-Native Applications (AMoCNA) framework, which addresses the challenges of executing management actions in complex Cloud-native environments. The framework enables the autonomic execution of these actions and supports rule-based management in such environments. This paper focuses on the rule-based execution of management actions. The result of the research is the concept of a rule-based Action Adapter. We discuss its functionality, as well as architecture and operations. To evaluate the concepts, we demonstrate scenarios which reflect a possible real-world use cases. The positive results obtained are then utilized to draw conclusions and establish the course of future research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
